Hassania
El Badissi,
a native of Morocco, grew up dancing, drumming, and singing
at the lilas, and ceremonies. She will share her native Afro-Arabic
spiritual dances combined with polyrhythmic percussion, choreography
and vocal expression. She teaches a variety of Cuban
Folkloric dances, Bantu, Arara, Rumba, and Orisha dances.
She is recognized as an outstanding teacher and performer
in these as well.
Chris Walker
is an inspired
drummer and fabulous conga drum teacher in the Afro-Cuban
tradition, as well as an instrument maker and world performer.
Besides playing for dance classes, he will focus on invoking
spirit through dance music and song in the Santeria ceremony
tradition, while sharing techniques acquired over 18 years
of teaching.
Kachina Palencia
brings her beautiful Sufi Song and Dances of Universal Peace.
She is a talented vocalist and facilitator. Her artistic
contribution to our Dance Temple creates a magical space for
our Village Ceremony and Celebration.
Tanmayo
Brown from
France has long time practice of yoga, meditation, healing,
conscious Community, World Dance and Drum. She teaches yoga
for everyone, combining Iyengar,
Desikachar, and Patabhi Jois styles.
